the Interfaith Council on Religion, Race, Economic and Social Justice
The Interfaith Council on Religion, Race, Economic and Social Justice is an association of over 400 clergy and laity. We address the crisis of working poverty and provide a moral framework for the public dialogue regarding race, religion, economic and social justice.
Guided by values of love and compassion, and acting to promote human solidarity and the common good, The Interfaith Council advocates for an inclusive community of justice, abundance and peace.
he unique resources of our diverse faith traditions give direction to the Interfaith Council as we:
- Provide a moral framework for social and economic debate
- Inspire and support low wage workers and their families in the struggle for justice
- Call on corporations to respect the dignity and rights of workers and give them a meaningful voice
- Educate and organize the religious community to support social and economic justice through public policy
The Interfaith Council welcomes diverse religious voices to join us
as we work for justice in a spirit of respect and inclusion.
