Fair Workweek Hits the Assembly Floor
Santa Clara County blazed the trail with our living wage policy that requires contractors to give their employees at least two weeks of notice about their work schedules. Without that, workers can’t plan child care, education, medical appointments, let alone a second job.
Now, the Fair Scheduling Act (AB 357 Chiu/Weber) would require all major retailers in California to do the same.
