Fair Workweek Hits the Assembly Floor

NAACP

Santa Clara County blazed the trail with our living wage policy that requires contractors to give their employees at least two weeks of notice about their work schedules.  Without that, workers can’t plan child care, education, medical appointments, let alone a second job.

Now, the Fair Scheduling Act (AB 357 Chiu/Weber) would require all major retailers in California to do the same.

Check out this great, short video on the bill and call your legislator at 916-319-2800 or email them today!  The bill is expected to hit the Assembly floor this week and our representatives need to know that we expect them to lead on this important issue.
