Jessica joined Working Partnerships USA in 2014 as a project research associate and has since worked on civic engagement campaigns and fundraising, before becoming the Organizing Director in 2019.
Previously, she worked as a Field Organizer for the Service Employees International Union in the healthcare industry, successfully organizing nurses across the country, and as a Field Organizer for Colorado WINS (AFSCME/AFT/SEIU Local 1876), where she developed and executed successful organizing campaigns in the Colorado Health and Human Services and Transportation Departments. She has served as president of her union chapter, steward, labor-management committee representative, and bargaining team chair.
She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University, where she also served as president of the Indiana Public Interest Research Group. She was awarded the Rosa Parks Scholarship for Union Activism from the State University of New York Labor & Employment Policy Master's program for her work to advance workers' rights.
